"The Moment" does not live up the quality of  most Vivid DVD titles.  The quality of the transfer is akin to VHS at times.  This is peculiar, because the excellent active menu offers much sharper images than the feature itself. The stereo sound is excellent and there are extra goodies available on the menu, e.g. previews, scenes from AVN award shows, etc.

Janine looks sensational as an angel and of course most will prefer her getting down and dirty without wings as she does in several scenes with her famale companion.  The plot is somewhat convoluted, but the images are extremely sharp and the sound is great.  The standard live action menu is a real plus here, and the menu also offers various supplementary materials.  We still haven't been able to master the various angle options offered, but at the times we could use it, we found it rewarding.

Lexus stars in the latest edition to the Debbie Does Dallas Franchise, "Debbie Does Dallas-The Next Generation."  It's truly amazing to see how much adult films have changed since the first Debbie Does Dallas film.  The production values to this title, while no "Titanic" are still obviously more than the original, and the image looks sensational.  Contrast the image to this DVD next to the best copy of Debbie Does Dallas anywhere and it's staggering.  "Next Generation" has its share of outstanding looking "Vivid" girls, but there's also some fine humor as well.  The digital sound is suitable, although it's been much better on other Vivid releases.

Where the Boys Aren't is filled with enough high quality imagery to surpass most adult videos.  This is best evidenced near the film's final chapters, which take on an MTV-like music video appearance.  Janine and all her friends are in these scenes which combine quick cuts, black&white shots and panning movements around a leather and chains set.  The earlier scenes, mostly with Christy Canyon are still worthwhile, but not on the same scale.  The DVD transfer is first-rate with exceptional quality in almost every scene.  Even more impressive is what VIVID VIDEO offers as a supplement to some of their releases, as with this title.  The menu offers movie previews, an exceptional bio/video intro to most of the Vivid Girls, "Kobi's Sex World(wherein this beautiful adult star offers various icons to select, each of which has its own virtual sexual positions for the viewer)and more.

Janine is certainly not only one of the best looking Vivid girls, she's also one of the best looking adult stars in the industry.  Unfortunately, Sex Player doesn't feature her enough.  Still, there are some other beauties here, Asia Carrera, Yvonne,etc.  As far as plot goes, who cares?  This is certainly one of the best all-out sex films in recent memory.  The quality of  the DVD release is superior to that of the laserdisc image, with less noise and grain. The digital sound is lacking in any separation, but it's not a necessity to enjoying this release.

House Party is an enjoyable film on many levels.  Sure, it's got sensational Jenteal and other Vivid girls.  Sure, it's got more than enough sexual escapades to satisfy the most demanding adult film fan.  But, it even has an entertaining plot!  Set around a film crew and the various situations resulting from an on-location shoot, even the dialogue works well.  There are no extras included here, but the menu offers an active chapter search and the DVD transfer is excellent.

Although it "again" appears that Pam & Tommy Lee's marriage may not last, their well publicized "stolen" home sex-video should last with the new DVD transfer available from IEG through VIVID.  The DVD offers a table of contents of sorts.  There is a still section as well as chapters.  The quality of the image varies greatly due to the fact that the master source is a standard home video camera.  At times the image is excellent.  At other times, specifically the final fireside sequence, the image is barely discernible.  These home videos are certainly more entertaining than most home-movies, and Pamela Lee proves that she looks great without makeup.  There's plenty of sex scenes with the two and Pam fans will certainly enjoy the several, brief scenes with her pleasing Tommy.  The image available on this DVD is superior to the standard videotape image and the sound quality is surprisingly quite good.  This may not be a coffee-table piece, but it's certainly worth having hidden  beneath or near it.

Vivid Video has a bevy of beautiful girls under their banner. Janine Lindemuller is one of the most beautiful, and she's featured in Blonde Justice.  The plot is more inane than most films of this genre, but, then again, the scenery is so captivating that it doesn't seem to matter.  The DVD transfer looks sharp for the most part.  There are some moments in which the lighting hinders the definition.   The stereo sound is absent of effects, although helpful in boosting the musical presence throughout the film.

Vivid Video is making an impressive mark on DVD with their dedication towards providing various adult titles in the format, with affordable pricing and supplemental features.   The World's Luckiest Man stars John Dough and is basically a documentary set at a pool party.  A large portion of the release follows Dough and his 101 lady friends as they embark on a mission to set a record of physical stamina.  There is an abundance of other entertaining and scintilating segments, all of which are able to be previewed with the moving interactive menu box provided with this release.  A small visual map of the 101 ladies if featured within the DVD case. 

The quality of the transfer is excellent.  Without question, the best looking picture possible in this release with excellent fleshtones and contrast.  The stereo sound is fine.

Kobe Tai and Dyanna Lauren star in "Sex Zone."   Lauren looks as wonderful as ever and this DVD is stacked with extras.  To begin with, there's an option which allows viewers to select any moving bio of various "Vivid" girls.   While the bio comes to life with clips, facts about the "selection" slide across the images. There's also a great section featuring highlights of  the AVN awards, with options of four segments.  Unfortunately, the exact same footage is used on other discs offering AVN award footage. While the footage is great, we suggest that Vivid should release a separate disc offering an extensive compilation from AVN highlights over the years.  There's enough supplementary material here to make this a great buy at its $34.95 S.R.P.

Director Paul Thomas' "Sex"  looks substantially improved over videotape in its DVD release.  The actual color quality isn't as sharp as some of the other recent Vivid releases, but it's usually impressive.  The stereo sound is basically monaural, except for the background music.  There are extensive supplementary features, including the same AVN awards footage options offered on other VIVID releases, previews, and more.

An adult spoof on the "Tonight Show", "Sex Show" has more than a few laughs while depicting the sexual misadventures of an adult late-show host and the various staff around him.  The Vivid girls are beautiful and the supplemental materials offered on this release will certainly please most DVD fans.   "Multiple Angle" viewing is here!  There are many other features offered and an internal sheet helps define what's available. 

The picture looks wonderful and the contrast as well as fleshtones are perfect.   The mono sound is of only average quality.

Jenteal stars in this hot offering from WAVE/VIVID.  There aren't any multiple angle features offered here, but the overall excellence of the DVD transfer is enough to please any collector.  The images are stunning to watch.  Every minute detail on a model's face and body is perfectly apparant.  The VIVID girls are first-class beauties and they provide non-stop gratuitious thrills throughout the film.  The sound quality is of average quality.
