PARAMOUNT keeps managing to find some extremely fun titles, and releasing them
at an inexpensive rate, along with some of their more awaited “big” titles. One
such title is “I MARRIED A MONSTER FROM OUTER SPACE.” An alien has assumed the
identity of Gloria Talbott’s fiancée right shortly before the wedding. While the
marriage takes off without a hitch, she realizes her new husband is acting
differently as is the town. Borrowing in theme from “INVASION OF THE BODY
SNATCHERS”, this film stands on its own as both camp fun and as a fun thriller
with some genuinely creepy moments.
PARAMOUNT has presented the film in its correct 1.85:1 aspect ratio with 16:9
enhancement. It’s a generally solid image, although grain becomes intrusive
about half-way through the film.
PARAMOUNT has provided a mono mix. It’s adequate, free from distortion or hiss, but fidelity is limited. Dialogue is intelligible throughout.
