"I'M WITH LUCY" is a light, breezy, romantic comedy, starring Monica Potter as "Lucy," a sweet girl looking for Mr. Right.  Monica Potter has a likeable enough persona to make one empathize with her plight, but the writing is very inconsistent.  While some of the dialogue and situations are quite funny, much of it, especially relating to scenes with her parents, falls flat.

Along her pursuit to find a life-long companion, we meet a variety of characters, and these guys are funny.  David Boreanaz is a slick doctor whom at first seems like a good match, but his immaturity is soon realized, when instead of being smitten with Lucy, he's practically salivating for a really young girl. Anthony LaPaglia  is also hysterical as a baseball player, seemingly unable to even momentarily hold back his sexual aspirations.  Again, other than Lucy's parents, every character is entertaining.  The story doesn't really have a big payoff, but it's not overly predictable either.

COLUMBIA TRISTAR has preserved the film's 1.85:1 aspect ratio without 16:9 enhancement.  Colors are generally solid, and while there's some grain, the overall image quality makes up for this flaw.  Contrast is fine, although blacks and grays aren't as deep as in superior COLUMBIA TRISTAR releases.

COLUMBIA TRISTAR has presented a Dolby Digital 5.1 mix.  This isn't an aggressive mix, and is mostly dialogue-driven.  There are some "surround" moments, but mostly to boost the music or provide light ambient effects. The dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.

Several trailers are included.
