The "Fourth Season" of "HOME IMPROVEMENT" demonstrates that a proven formula can actually work over time. Tim Allen stars as Tim Taylor, the host of "TOOL TIME" a sort of bumbling but loveable guy in love with his wife, a patient, intelligent woman, played by a great actress, Patricia Richardson. Of course, there's eye candy, with Debbie Dunning having replaced the girl assistant to Tim's show, originally played by Pam Anderson. Although some of the husband/wife misunderstandings, epiphanies, and making up situations, grow predictable at times, there's real heart to the show and the cast is terrific. All of the 26 episodes in season 4 are worth viewing and a few are real gems, especially in comparison to most of the mediocre comedy on tv today.
BUENA VISTA has preserved the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio. It's a decent image, although quality varies, either being too soft or too grainy, depending on the given episode. But it's still a better image than many other shows presented on tv from this period.
BUENA VISTA provides a Dolby Digital Stereo mix. There's not much separation, but fidelity is solid. Dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.
A short gag reel is included.
