Kids of all ages seem to love the television series "HEY ARNOLD!"  To be honest, watching it with the kids isn't that bad.  They certainly laugh out loud, and it's got a certain comic innocence that's missing from most of modern children's programming. It's funny without being cruel!

There are plenty of celebrities making appearances in the film version, "HEY ARNOLD! THE MOVIE" just released from PARAMOUNT HOME ENTERTAINMENT.  Paul Sorvino, Jennifer Jason Leigh and others offer some definition to the characters, and while its plotline wears thin for adults after about 30 minutes or so, the kids will love it. 

The original 1.85:1 aspect ratio is intact with 16:9 enhancement.  Colors are fine, although surprisingly not that vibrant.  The contrast is exellent, with deep blacks and grays.  Generally, the image is sharp, and there's no artifacting. 

PARAMOUNT has provided a Dolby Digital 5.1 mix, however there are virtually no surround moments. There are some minor directional effects focused towards the front soundstage. Dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.
