Building on the publicity around Lindsay Lohan and her upcoming summer release of "THE LOVE BUG", BUENA VISTA has been releasing some of her previous titles on dvd.  "GET A CLUE" was originally made for the DISNEY CHANNEL years ago.  While not perfect, it's still a lot of fun.  Lohan plays a energetic journalist at a Prep school in New York. When a teacher vanishes, her investigative skills come in handy as she tries to solve the mystery along with her friends. 

In spite of a murder plot, it's great fun.  The film moves along at a steady pace and Lohan is endearing, as are the entire cast. 

BUENA VISTA has preserved the show's original cable aspect ratio of 1.33:1.  Colors are rich and the image is generally solid. However, some grain is present in a few scenes. Contrast is fine. Blacks are generally deep.

BUENA VISTA has provided a Dolby Digital 5.1 mix, however, this is a fairly restrained soundmix, except for some atmospheric effects. Dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.

An alternate ending has been included, but the original fares better.
