CROUCHING TIGER

Even with the previously available outstanding presentation of "CROUCHING
TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON", its overall image and sound have benefited from the
"SUPERBITS" treatment. The depth to each image is noticeably improved here!
Just as "dvd" formatting allows for superior detail in comparison to VHS,
the

"SUPERBITS" presentation offers substantially more detail in comparison to
its previously available version. There is also a major improvement in
terms of contrast. While the contrast wasn't problematic before, there is
noticeably improved discernment between blacks and grays here. Darker
scenes have substantially more definition in every instance.

This being a "SUPERBIT" release, means that the substantial supplements of
the previous version are axed here. Still, a variety of subtitles is
offered.

While there's no "dubbed" version either, the original language version is
the preferred option and it has the added benefit of being offered with both
Dolby Digital 5.1 "and" DTS 5.1 here! The difference between the versions
isn't as noticeable on this release as it is on most DTS/DD 5.1
counterparts, with both sounding nearly flawless. However, the music has an
added advantage of layers and detail in the DTS version in every instance.
